New Delhi, September 23: The Lt Governor of A&N Islands, Prof Jadish Mukhi, today flagged off a special train named ‘Panchnud Pinddan Express’ at Safdarjang Railway Station, New Delhi as the chief guest. The special train was booked by Panchnad Smarak Trust to ply from New Delhi to Gaya, Bihar in which as many as 1432 persons from 47 towns/places of UP, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Haryana, MP and Rajasthan booked their seats.
Speaking on the occasion, the Lt Governor appreciated the Panchnad Smarak Trust for their works towards the welfare of the society and added that activities taken up by the trust with a noble cause will always give fruits. Trust members also paid tributes to the brave Indian soldiers who lost their life in the recent Uri attack in J&K in which 19 soldiers of the Indian Army died. The Lt Governor also joined them in paying rich tributes to these brave soldiers.
