Campbell Bay, September 12: The Relay Hunger Strike of Farmer Association of Campbell Bay has been called off by the farmers after they got the assurance from the high level team of administration, sent by the Chief Secretary.
As per reports, the high level team has reportedly assured the farmers that they can sell their copra at minimum support price i.e Rs 59.50 from the month of November this year.
The administration has also given a written assurance, it is learnt.
The Vice President, Bharthiya Janta Party Mr Sanjay Singh has thanked the CS including the team who has taken the matter seriously and has resolved the issue of the farmers who struggling for their livelihood since April.
