Port Blair, September 11: A major clash was reported between two groups of Sri Vinayagar Temple Committee members at Dairy Farm this morning.
As per reports, a meeting of temple committee members was held today and during the discussion when the members raised voice against the Secretary and Cashier of the Committee for destroying the God Ayyapan Statue a month back without informing the president as well as other group members, the discussion took a serious shape.
Some of the Committee members also put allegations on the Secretary as well as the Cashier for not giving details of the accounts of the temple committee.
Thus the matter suddenly went out of control and two groups started attacking each other.
On information a team of Police reached the spot and controlled the situation. According to some of the members, the Secretary as well as the Cashier were later suspended by the President of the Sri Vinayagar Temple Committee.
