Port Blair, September 04: In a simple function held on today i.e on 04/09/2016 at PBMC premises, Smti Sheela Singh, Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council inaugurated the renovated Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Auditorium, in the presence of Shri Yashpal Garg, Secretary, PBMC, Sr. Vice Chairperson, Councilors and officers of the Council were also present. The complete renovation of the building included repairing of the floor and stage, renovation and repair works inside and outside including ecoblock ceiling works, replacements of chairs and refitting of complete roofing’s. Soon after inauguration of the auditorium a grand musical function concerted by Avinash Social and cultural society were organized in connection with the celebrations of 70th year of Independence of our country. The show featured various songs and dance performed by the endowed artist of these Islands.
