Port Blair, Sept 2: The Electricity Department will distribute 9 Watt LED Bulb under DELP-SOP Programme to reduce / minimize the electricity consumption by the individual consumer in their houses effectively to all domestic consumers coming under the jurisdiction of HQ Division, Electricity Department. It is also requested to all the consumer to use these 9 Watt LED Bulbs and adopt a practice of replacing the ordinary and higher wattage CFL bulbs with this LED bulbs, so that immediately reduction in connected load can be obtained efficiently for now and in future.
The distribution of 9 watt LED bulb at all the site offices under HQ Division has already been started and all domestic consumers are requested to collect their LED bulbs from their respective site office by producing latest electricity bill payment receipt and handover 04 Nos. ordinary bulbs (60 watt) or CFL (20 Watt) or higher rating to the distributing authority and on payment of Rs. 40/-, i.e. @Rs. 10/- per bulb.
The date for distribution of 9 watt LED bulbs under the site offices of HQ Division viz Prothrapur 1, Prothrapur-II (Bird Line), Chakkargaon, Shadipur, Diaryfarm and Dollygunj (Minnie Bay is Sept 10 from 9 am to 1 pm) and at Prem Nagar, Haddo, Phoenix Bay and Aberdeen Bazar is Sept 20 from 9 am to 1 pm. The consumers may contact the Junior Engineer/Assistant Engineer of the respective site offices to clarify issues if any related to LED bulb distribution.
