Port Blair, August 31: The Deputy Superintendent of Police, South Andaman today interacted with the media and informed various measures the South Andaman Police is taking to avoid any untoward incidents in the city.
Addressing the media, the DySP South Andaman, Mr Ajay Rai said that the South Andaman Police has deployed two Police Staffs at tourist attraction points like Marina Park, Joggers Park and Gandhi Park to deal with any possible untoward incidents.
He said that the South Andaman Police is also interacting with the Fishermen on regular intervals to educate and aware the fishermen to be alert in the sea and inform police about any suspicious movement of poachers etc.
DySP Ajay Rai further said that the South Andaman Police is also interacting with the senior citizens to understand problems they are facing. He said police department is also trying to resolve those problems by coordinating with other concerned departments.
He also said that all the departments that come under South Andaman Jurisdiction will be conducting an awareness campaign at every school monthly twice or thrice to educate children about Traffic, de-addiction etc.
