Port Blair, Aug 29: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration constituted the A&N UT Commission for Protection of Child Rights,vide Notification No 4-99/DSW/C-SCPCR/2013 dated 12/6/2015 in accordance with the A&N UT Commission for (Protection of Child Rights) Rules, 2013. Consequent upon the resignation of the Chairperson of the Commission, the post of Chairperson fallen vacant, is required to be filled up.
For filling up the vacant post of Chairperson of the A&N UT Commission for Protection of Child Rights, applications are hereby invited from amongst persons , below sixty five years of age, and who have done outstanding work for promoting the welfare of children and who are of eminence, ability, integrity, standing and experience in:-
(i) education
(ii) child health, care, welfare or child development;
(iii) juvenile justice or care of neglected or marginalized children or children with disabilities;
(iv) elimination of child labour or children in distress;
(v) child psychology or sociology
(vi) laws relating to children.
No person having any past record of violation of human rights or child rights shall be eligible for appointment as Chairman of the Commission.
The interested and eligible persons of eminence, fulfilling above mentioned criteria, may submit their applications affixing their photographs, along with their bio-data, giving details about their qualifications, age, experience and achievements acquired so far in the field of Child Welfare, address, contact phone numbers, to the Director, Directorate of Social Welfare, A&N Administration, latest by 10th September 2016.
