Port Blair, Aug 29: The Port Blair unit of the Directorate of Fields Publicity, a publicity wing under the Ministry of Information St Broadcasting, Government of India, will conduct a two day Special Outreach Programme on various schemes of the Central Government from Aug 30 at Ferrargunj Community Hall in collaboration with Department of Social Welfare, Department of Health, Block Administration, Pradhan & PRIs of Ferrargunj Gram Panchayat and different nationalized banks.
The thrust area of the campaign is to generate awareness on stopping female feticide, mother & child health, need for immunization1 and different public welfare policies formulated by the government like Swachcha Bharat, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna, MUDRA yojna etc. On Aug 30, the department will organize competitions on the theme of 70 years of India’s Independence, bank account opening camp and sensitization camp, film shows etc and seminars and rally will be organized on the second day i.e on 31st August 2016.
During the two days programme Curator of the Cellular Jail Dr. Rasheeda Iqbal, Pramukh of Ferrargunj, Mr Sandip Biswas, BDO, Mr S. Joseph, CDPO Irene Nicholas Medical Officer Dr. Ramya, Lead District Manager of Bank, Mr Farook, Pradhan of Ferrargunj Panchayet, Mr Munneswar and other government officials will address the gathering.
