The third (3rd) batch of 05 days training programme on “First Aid Fire Fighting & Disaster Preparedness” which commenced from 22/08/2016 at Police Fire Service Training Centre at Fire Service (HQ) to sensitize the Govt. Servants, General Public, Students and employees from private establishments like Hotels & Restaurants, Shops, Small Scale Industries etc. was concluded on 26/08/2016 at Police Fire Service Training Centre.
In order to enhance the capacity of the participants to tackle any untoward incident or mishap, a live demonstration on using of various types of fire fighting equipments on fire and operation & use of Disaster Mitigation equipments like Chain Saw, Inflatable Light, Hydraulic cutter, spreader etc were conducted by involving the participants at the end of the training session on 26/08/2016 at Police Fire Service (HQs), Port Blair premises.
Shri. B. Saigal, Dy. Superintendent of Police (Fire Service), A&N Islands was present in the occasion. In his address, he appreciated all the participants for their active participation and briefed about fire prevention, safety aspects and to combat the situation of eventuality while in home, office, Hotel/Restaurants etc. He further appealed the participants to utilize the knowledge and experience gained during the training programme in case of any eventuality at their locality. The participants have expressed that the training programme has built the capacity of individuals to respond any emergency during the survival time takes for reaching Fire Services to the scene of fire.
Altogether, 41 persons attended the training programme and they also shared their views and difficulties being faced and its remedies during the situation of emergency at length with the Dy. Superintendent of Police (Fire Service). Course Certificates were also given to the participants.
