Port Blair, Aug 24: On the occasion of Janmasthami, the birthday of Lord Krishna, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad here will organize various programmes throughout Andaman & Nicobar Island on Aug 25. The events will be conducted in 52 places and Mandirs of the city, South Andaman, North & Middle Andaman, Campbell Bay and Little Andaman. Quiz competition on Life and Teaching of Lord Krishna, Ramayana & Mahabharata, Hindu culture and way of life and general knowledge, drawing competition on Lord Krishna will be conducted. A Kids Fancy Dress competition on Lord Krishna will also be conducted.
Parents and the interested students and participants have been requested to contact the nearest Mandir and places for participation.
