Port Blair, Aug 24: The Island Toppers in Arts stream and other school toppers in AISSE/AISSCE-2016 were felicitated by Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Mayabunder.
Shri. Arava Gopi Krishna, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman was the Chief Guest on this occasion. PRI Members, PTA, SMC & SMDC members, Parents and a large no. of students attended the programme.
The Island topper in Arts stream, Ms. Ritwika Mondal was also presented a Citation. Earlier the Deputy Education Officer, Mayabunder, Shri. Sushen Mallick welcomes the gathering. The Chief Guest congratulated the achievers, their parents for the exceptional feat achieved by them. He stressed upon the need to have a big dream in life and the need to work hard to achieve success in life.
He complimented all teachers and Principal of the school for this exceptional achievement and urged them to strive further to maintain the tradition in coming years. The programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Smti. Sulochana, Vice-Principal of the school.
