Port Blair, Aug 23: The Govt. of India has launched a year-long programme ‘MAA-Mother’s Absolute Affection’ across the country for promotion, protection and support of breast feeding practices through health system to achieve higher breastfeeding rates for quality survival of new born in the country. To implement a year-long campaign in these islands, a launch function will be held on Aug 26 in the auditorium of GB Pant Hospital at 11 am. The Principal Secretary, Health, Mr Raajiv Yaduvanshi will grace the occasion as the chief guest, while the Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, Ms Minati Biswas will be present as the guest of honor.
