Port Blair, Aug 23: to provide direct Marketing Opportunities to the Self Help Groups (SHG’s), farmers, marginal artisans and MSMEs a buyer seller meet called “ANDAMAN BAZAAR” is being organized from 22nd August 2016 to 28th August, 2016, daily from 04.00 PM to 09.00 PM at ITF Ground, Port Blair, by the Industries Department, Andaman & Nicobar Administration. Other Collaborating partners are Agriculture, Art & Culture, Tourism, Andaman Nicobar State Co-operative Bank Ltd., and NABARD. While this was initiated with the objective to provide marketing opportunity for the produce of the women SHG’s, efforts have been made to provide direct marketing opportunities for the agricultural produce of the farmers of these Islands.
Next “ANDAMAN BAZAAR”, the fair started on 22nd August, 2016 from 5.00 PM at ITF Ground, Port Blair. There are 85 SHGs, 34 farmers, 11 artisans/handicrafts enterprises, 11 MSMEs, 02 Educational and 03 children’s game participants displayed their products, produce and services. The fair has daily cultural programmes with self improvement skits and shows from 05.30 PM to 08.30 PM.
