Port Blair, Aug 22: The Nehru Yuva Kendra, Diglipur observed the birth anniversary of Late Rajiv Gandhi on Aug 20 as Sadbhavana Diwas. Altogether, 49 male and female participants participated in the event. Mr Goutam Biswas, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Shibpur garlanded the portrait of Late Rajiv Gandhi and spoke on the life and contribution of the leader. Mr Sunil Sarkar, Ex-Zilla Parishad member, Durgapur was also present as guest of honour.
Earlier, Mr Jagjeevan Ram, District Youth Coordinator, NYK, Diglipur welcomed the gathering. Mr Protap Dhali, Secretary, Vivekananda Youth Club, Durgapur proposed the vote of thanks.
