Port Blair, Aug 21: The former Up- Adhyaksh of Zilla Parishad, Mr Sudhir Biswas met the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration on Thursday and demanded establishment of a Multipurpose Hall near Vidya Sagar Mini Stadium in the premises of GSSS, Ramkrishna Pur, Little Andaman. The Principal of GSSS Ramakrishnapur in a letter to the Assistant Director, Sports, Art and Culture has already communicated the availability in the month of September 2011.
Mr. Biswas also communicated to the CS, A&N administration that the concerned authority neither take any interest and nor to take any fruit full action on the said matter till so far. So many times Biswas has requested to the concerned authority on the matter but till no action yet has been taken. Mr Biswas urged the intervention of the Chief Secretary into the said matter in the interest of development of sports in rural areas. The Chief Secretary assured to look in to the matter on priority basis.
