Port Blair, Aug 9: The Indian Navy has initiated a recruitment drive for enrolment of Sailors (Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) Batch-01/2017). As per the eligibility criteria, unmarried male Indian citizen, limited to domiciles of Andaman and Nicobar Island are eligible for enrolment. The candidates should possess 10+2 equivalent qualified with math and physics as compulsory subject’s optional subjects Chemistry/Biology/Computers and should be born between 01 Feb 1996 to 31 Jan 2000 (both dates inclusive).
Selection of recruits will be based on order of merit depending on their performance in Written Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations. Candidates will have to bring documents like Original and one attested copy of matriculation certificate, Original and one attested copy of 10+2/ equivalent examination marksheet & certificate, Original and one attested copy of NCC certificate, if any, Original and one attested copy of Certificate of Residence (Domicile Certificate) and eight recent pass port size colour photographs during the time of Recruitment Drive:-

Person claiming rapport with the officials of the Naval Recruitment Organization may promise to get candidates recruited and on pretext collect money. Such a thing is not possible.
