Port Blair, July 29: In a heroic attempt, one Sub Inspector of Andaman and Nicobar police has broke doors and saved one person while he was attempting to commit suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan on Wednesday evening.
According to reports, police received a complaint yesterday at around 05:15pm that Mr Hemant Kumar a resident of Pathargudda is not opening his room since last two hours.
On information Manoj Lall, SI, PS Tylerabad, with his team reached the house of Mr Hemant Kumar and started getting details from wife of Mr. Hemant Kumar.
She reported that Mr. Hemant Kumar is neither opening the door nor replying to any question.
The Sub Inspector asked one person of the village to peep inside the house, who reportedly saw Mr. Hemant Kumar, making arrangements to hang himself.
Sub Inspector Manoj Lall immediately rushed inside the house and kicked the door open and caught the man, just when he jumped for the suicidal attempt.
However, despite a brave attempt, Mr. Hemant Kumar went unconscious.
SI Manoj Lall than pumped the heart of Hemant Kumar but nothing happened. Considering the seriousness of the situation, the SI rushed the person to PHC Garacharma from where he was referred to G B Pant hospital.
Fortunately, Hemant Kumar gained conscious at G B Pant Hospital and presently he is out danger. Sources said that Mr. Hemant Kumar took this extreme step because he was facing financial problem.
