Port Blair, July 29: With reference to a news item published in a local newspaper regarding denial of mid-day meal to Nicobarese students, the matter has been enquired into by DC Nicobar & AC Nancowry. The DC Nicobar stated that as per the information received from the Assistant Education Officer, Nancowry, no instances of irregular supply of mid-day meals to the students in the Sub-Division have been reported. She further stated that the administration has made efforts to ensure uninterrupted supply of mid-day meals to the students as per the norms.
