Port Blair, July 24: Alliance Air is suspending its CRJ flight operated on Delhi-Bhubaneswar-Port Blair and the chartered flights on Port Blair-Car Nicobar sector with effect from Aug 1, 2016 due to the withdrawal of CRJ aircraft from the fleet of Alliance Air.
To cater the needs of passengers, the Lt. Governor, Lt. Gen. A. K. Singh (retd) will take up the case with the Civil Aviation Minister to find some alternative by introduction of services of wide bodied aircraft by Air India on sector Delhi-Bhubaneswar-Port Blair or by increasing the frequency of Air India flight AI 487/488 on Delhi-Vizag-Port Blair sector on daily basis. Further, arrangement has also been made for conveyance of civilian passengers in IAF Dornier aircraft on Port Blair-Car Nicobar-Campbell Bay sector.
