Port Blair, July 15: The beneficiaries availing Pension/Allowances under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP)/Old Age Pension/Widow Pension/Destitute/Disability schemes implemented by the Social Welfare Department were informed through media releases and public notices to submit their Aadhaar number on several occasions. In spite of repeated request, a good number of beneficiaries have not submitted the Aadhaar number in this Directorate or office of the respective Child Development Project Officers. It is once again clarified that Non-seeding of Bank Account with Aadhaar will lead to delay in sanction of pension/allowances from the month of July, 2016.
Therefore, all beneficiaries who have not submitted their Aadhaar number so far are once again advised to submit the same immediately. Those beneficiaries who have not been enrolled for Aadhaar so far are also advised to attend the Special Aadhaar Enrolment drive starting from 15th July 2016 at Port Blair, Ferrargunj, Little Andaman, Neil, Havelock, Rangat, Mayabunder, Diglipur, Car Niocbar, Katchal, Kamorta, Teressa and Campbell Bay. After enrolment, they should submit the EID Number to the concerned CDPOs or to nearest Anganwandi Centre or to this Directorate on or before 18th of this month. Those beneficiaries who are already photographed for Aadhaar Enrolment and not received Aadhaar EID number may submit their correct name, address along with Telephone number which was given at the time of Aadhaar enrolment to any of the above official or to this Directorate on or before July 18. The pension/ financial assistance, to the beneficiaries, who fail to submit any of the above documents may be delayed.
