Port Blair, July 14: The beneficiaries availing pension/allowances under National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP)/Old Age Pension/Widow Pension/Destitute Allowances and Disability Allowances schemes implemented by the Social Welfare Department were informed through different types of media releases and public notices to submit their Aadhaar number on several occasions. It has been observed that till date a good number of beneficiaries have not submitted the Aadhaar number in this Directorate or Office of the Child Development Project Officer, ICDS Project, Urban, Ferrargunj, Rangat, Diglipur and Car Nicobar. It is once again clarified that Non seeding of bank accounts with Aadhaar will lead to delay in sanction of pension/allowances from the month of July, 2016.
Therefore, all beneficiaries who have not submitted their Aadhaar number so far are once again advised to submit the same immediately without fail, directly to the Directorate of Social Welfare, Port Blair or at Child Development Project Officer ICDS Project Urban, Ferrargunj, Rangat, Diglipur and Car Nicobar for collection of Aadhaar number.
