Port Blair, July 12: As a part of its social activities, Steps-Aid India (NGO) launched a Vocational Training Centre recently at Austinabad under its Social Empowerment Programme. Mr . N. K. Udhay Kumar, Councillor, Ward No.24, PBMC inaugurated the centre as the chief guest. In his address, Mr N. K. Udhay Kumar lauded the efforts of Steps-Aid India in promoting youths & women empowerment and skill dissemination.
The centre will initially impart training on various discipline viz., coaching and Guidance for clerical cadre recruitment exams, Tally Accounting Packages and Basic Tailoring Course. The programme designed to benefit the educated unemployed youths and women who belongs to low income groups and underprivileged sections of the society to make them self reliant and self sustainable.
