Port Blair, July 10: The Founder of Sudhangshubala Foundation Trust, Mr. Bhabesh Majumder has applauded the untiring efforts made by the Lt. Governor, Lt. General A.K. Singh for taking the islands on a path of rapid progress.
The last three years of Governor Singh at the helm of affairs in the remote islands have witnessed an unprecedented all round development.
With his fingers on the pulse of the people, the proactive Administrator has gone ahead in systematic manner to fulfill the requirements of the people for a long time to come, stated Mr. Majumder.
It has been only because of his efforts and foresight that a large number of aspiring local students are now able to enroll themselves for medical studies at Port Blair itself. Apart from Medical College, ANCOL, Community College at Ferrargunj and the Law College in the pipeline are notable achievements in the field of education. Other areas including health, security, power, roads, agriculture and even entertainment too have received equal attention of the Governor who surveys all. The proposed science centre at Mayabunder is a clear indication of the fact that the development is not to be confined to Port Blair alone in his scheme of things. Apart from being an able administrator, Governor A.K. Singh comes across as a kind and compassionate person who does not mind mingling with the common man in his joy and sorrow, opined the SFT chief.
