Port Blair, July 10: The NGO, Yuvashakti in association with NABARD conducted a series of MEDPs (Micro-entrepreneurial Development) at four places viz. Namunaghar, Neil Island, Diglipur and Rangat since the 20th of last month. Altogether, 120 participants from various self help groups participated the MEDP. While the MEDPs held at Diglipur, Rangat and Namunaghar were aimed at imparting specialised training on coir based handicrafts, the MEDP held at Neil Island was aimed at disseminating skills on coconut shell-craft. The Assistant General Manager of NABARD, Mr G S Vaidyanath and Manager, NABARD, Mr N.Kothandapani attended the valedictory function held at Namunaghat on July 6.
