Port Blair, May 21: Central Agricultural Research Institute will be conducting Zonal Workshop on National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) on 23rd and 24th May, 2012 of Krishi Vigyan Kendras, Zone-II, Kolkata at its Garacharma Research Complex.
Mr. Rupesh Kumar Thakur, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest and inaugurate the workshop on 23rd May, 2012 at 10.30 am at CARI, Conference Hall. Dr. A.K. Singh, Zonal Project Director, KVKs of Zone – II, Dr. R.P. Singh ‘Ratan’, Director of Extension, Birsa Agriculture University, Jharkhand, Dr. Sreenath Dikshit, Principal Scientist and Coordinator, NICRA, Hyderabad will be the Guests of honour. Dr. D.R. Singh, Director, CARI will preside over the function.
A total of 15 KVKs representing Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa and Port Blair will be participating in the two days workshop to present and share their experience on Climate Resilient Agriculture.
