Port Blair, July 06: The State General Executive Meeting of Bhartiya Janta Party was held at the Conference Hall of Megapode Resort today at 08:00am. The National Secretary and Prabhari, BJP, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr Tarun Chug and the National Joint General Secretary (Organization) came from mainland to attend the State General Executive Meeting held in the islands.
The welcome address during the meeting was delivered by the State President, BJP, Mr Vishal Jolly where he stressed more on to active the various booths of the party. He said that the main motive to organize this meeting is to know the work done by the party as per their manifesto.
During the meeting all the party members kept a 2 minutes moan for the party members those who expired in the last one year.
Addressing the party members, Mr Tarun Chug urged the party workers to work hard for the various schemes to reach till the general public launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that this is the time the party should work that hard as expected by the general public from the Modi Government.
Further addressing the gathering, the Member of Parliament, Mr Bishnu Pada Ray said that as per the request the State Highway at Neil, Little Andaman up to 22 km, Diglipur to Hathi Level, Havelock has been converted into National Highway. He also spoke on the various issues pertaining to the Islands.
The meeting continued till late evening where the members of the party discussed upon various issues they are facing at the ground level.
