Ramnagar, June 27: A new STS ticket counter for ATR from Diglipur to Port Blair has been inaugurated today by Asst Commissioner, Diglipur, Mr. A K Trivedi at Ramnagar.
Speaking on this occasion Asst Commissioner said that the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) village Ramnagar has been demanding for this facility since a long time.
He said that the demand for new bus service is under consideration depending upon the demand of tickets while the present service will benefit the passengers of Ramnagar, Kalighat and public of Kalara.
As per details, tickets will be issued for the next 10 days in advance. There will be total 10 tickets for the 0710 AM bus.
Tickets bearing seat no 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 & 20 are reserved for the Ramnagar. The fare of Rs 265/- includes a free transport to Ramnagar to Kalara Junction by a local trip STS bus at 0600 AM from Ramnagar.
The Pradhan Swapan Biswas thanked the Asst Commissioner for his best efforts to start this ticket counter and he demanded more bus service to Forest Check post to Ward No 3 at Ramnagar.
The Up-Pradhan Smti Phoolmani Tigga speaking on this occasion demanded a separate bus for the Ramnagar people. The Asst Commissioner gave her assurance that presently the STS is having shortage of buses and presently the commuters demand will be followed and as per that the tickets will be increased.
STS Station Master cum Traffic Inspector T Abdul Rasheed and Charge man Abdul Rahman along with general public were present on this occasion.
