Port Blair, June 26: A Maruti 800 Car bearing registration number ANO1 B3330, went up in flames at Dollygunj this evening at around 05:00pm.
As per reports, the Car was too old and was having some problems and due to a sudden spark in the entire section, fire erupted from the Car.
However, no one suffered any injuries in the accident as the owner of the car and his son on doubt immediately came outside the car, it is learnt.
A off duty fire Service Constable Jagannath Rao, who was passing by, when saw this incident immediately rushed to the road side and plucked some bushes and tried to douse the fire in the mean time the Fire Tender of Garacharama Fire station reached on the spot then doused the fire.
