Port Blair, June 10: One bus of Geetanjali Travels today met with an accident near Gandhi Ghat Jetty of Middle Andaman leaving nearly 20 people injured.
According to reports the Geetanjali Bus started from Mayabunder at around 4.40 am for Port Blair but after crossing Gandhi Ghat Jetty the bus met with a dangerous accident at around 8.10 am.
As per report the Bus went off the road while giving way to a STS bus, coming from opposite direction. Unconfirmed report says that the driver had already told all the passengers just five minutes back that the bus has suffered a brake fail.
Reports say that one passenger suffered serious injuries in both legs while the conductor suffered injury in one leg.
People present nearby and those who were crossing later helped all passengers to come out of the bus. The Police Team later reached the spot. Further inquiries are on.
