Port Blair, June 07: The Lt Governor, Lt Gen A K Singh (Retd), has directed the Secretary (PBMC) and Deputy Commissioner (SA), to take immediate steps to provide relief to the people affected by incessant rain.
Due to heavy and continuous rain yesterday, some areas of the city were inundated.
He has further directed that officials of PBMC/District Administration should take field visit to assess the problems and damage caused by the recent rains.
