Port Blair, June 3: As part of its social welfare programmes, the Andaman Sai Seva Samiti organized a two day special puja at Kitched Nallah, Rutland (Kala Pahad) for the villagers. The Gayatri Chetna Kendra, Haddo conducted a deep Yagna on May 1 for the first time in the village and Hawan and Homam on the second day. The Andaman Sai Seva Samiti Sai Samiti also released two months pensions to two needy widows of Rs 2000 each to Smt Susana Gid, W/o Late Anjulus Ekka and Smt Sumitra Devi, w/o Late Navas Udvar residents of Rutland. The pension amount was sponsored by Mr Ghan Shyam, Proprietor of Shyam and Shyam and President of Sai Samiti. The Andaman Sai Seva Samiti also distributed clothes to the residents of Badakhari, Bamboo Nallah, Niranjan Balu and Kitched nallah which was arranged by members of Diya group Gayatri Parivar.
