Diglipur, June 01: The public park of Diglipur, which was actually constructed for the amusement of people of the area, has now been transformed into a massive kitchen, illegally.
The park which was constructed a decade ago after a lot of effort and an expenditure of 40 lakhs is now used as makeshift kitchen for the marriage ceremonies held at the adjacent Panchayat Samiti Hall.
The park was once used for recreational purposes, where elderly people, Ladies and children used to spend quality time but now the park is in a highly dilapidated condition.
Whenever a marriage ceremony is held at Panchayat Samiti Hall, instead of using the Kitchen available inside the Hall, the organisers use the park as kitchen to make and supply the food by constructing temporary sheds at the park.
The matter should be investigated by the authorities concerned and the park should serve the purpose it was built for.
