Port Blair, May 30: Gaytri Chetna Kendra, Haddo will be celebrating “Vyasan Mukti Diwas” on 31 May from04.30 pm to 07.30 pm.
The Gaytri Chetna Kendra will also organise a rally from Tiranga Park at 04.30 pm and will pass through Phoniex Bay, Delanipur and later will conclude the rally at Haddo community Hall.
A Jhanki on the ill effects of tobacco and through Pamphlets and slogans the public will be made aware about its ill- effects.
The Gaytri Chetna Kendra will also screen a short movie at Haddo community Hall through video projector on the persons affected by tobacco/ alcohol will be shown, various songs on its ill-effects will be presented and the Chief guest and other dignitaries from various fields will address the gathering and make them aware about this burning issue.
A *Sankalp Patra* containing the message on the ill effects of tobacco and the voluntary consent to give up tobacco with their full address and signature will also be filled at 3 different place like at Tiranga Park, Delanipur junction and at Haddo. A follow up of all those who has consented to give up tobacco will be regularly done and they will be motivated from time to time to not to get trap in it again.
A Memorandum and Sankalp Patra signed by general public will also be presented to Honbl’e MP requesting to ban all type of Tobacco products as done in many states in Mainland.
The Gayatri Chetna Kendra request all to participate in this awareness programme as it is our moral duty to make our Society a Healthy society.
