Mayabunder, May 26: On 25th May at about 5.30 pm four fishermen of Machibasthi started when for fishing in an engine dinghi to the open sea of Karmatang. During the course of fishing, high waves due to cyclonic wind dashed the dinghi and they met with a dangerous accident at about 7.30 pm.
As per reports, three people were successful in reaching to the shore by swimming while the fourth fisherman G.Laxminarayan, aged 46 yrs was missing.
Accordingly a missing report was launched at PS Mayabunder at about 11.30 PM.
Despite, the worst climatic condition, the I/C PS Mayabunder, Mr.Shain Nair , along with the rescue team Immediately proceeded for the place of incident and started the rescue work and due to the heavy rain and adverse climatic condition they came back empty hand.
On 27th May morning at about 7.00 am the dead body of the missing person was found from the shore of Karmatang Beach. The fisherman is survived by his wife and one daughter.
