Port Blair, May 16: The MP Mr.B.P.Ray has taken up the matter of Revision of pay scale approval of the Bus Conductors and Checking Inspectors of Transport Department of A&N Islands with the GOI, Ministry of Home Affairs.
In a letter dated 09.05.2012 addressed to Mr.K.K.Pathak, Joint Secretary (UT) Ministry of Home Affaris, enclosing with a copy of Director of Transport, A&N Administration, U.O.Note No.54-4/Estt/Vol-11/945 dated 13 April, 2012 he requested that the approval of the Competent Authority be obtained for upgradation of the pay scale of Bus Conductors and Checking Inspectors of Transport Department under A&N Administration from the existing pay scale of Rs. 2750-4400 to Rs. 3050-4090 (Conductor) and from the existing pay scale of Rs. 3050-4590 to Rs. 3200-4900 (Checking Inspector), as par with their counterparts in other U.Ts like Delhi, Diu & Daman and Pondichery, with effect from 31.05.1977, i.e. from the date of enhancing of basic qualification from VIIIth Std. to Xth Std.
