Port Blair, May 16: Mr. R Mohan and the Bharatiya Janata Party has expressed gratitude towards the Lt Governor of Andaman andNicobar Islandsfor directing the Art and Culture Department to carryout immediate restoration and reconstruction of the historic gallows of theViperIsland. In his letter of gratitude, Mohan has requested him to recall his earlier request for declaring theIslandas National Memorial. Mohan has also requested to the Lt Governor not to approve any proposal of hotels or restaurant on the sacredIsland.
