Port Blair, May 23: The Director General Hospital Services (Armed Forces), Lieutenant General BNBM Prasad SM, VSM arrived on a four-day visit on Monday to review the medical facilities available in these islands.
The General Officer is a super specialist of repute in Pulmonary Medicine and has trained in interventional Pulmonology in Germany. The General has been Examiner for OM in PGI Chandigrah, DNB (Respiratory Diseases) National Board of Examination and MD (Respiratory Medicine) Pune University. He was also the Respiratory Physician to the late Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.
During his visit, the General Officer will visit medical establishments in Car Nicobar, Campbell Bay and Kamorta Islands and interact with the doctors there in addition to the service hospital in Port Blair, INHS Dhanvantari.
