Port Blair, Apr 28: A case of attempt to murder U/s 307 IPC dated 27.04.2016 has been registered at PS Billiground in which the alleged namely Mr. Sudeep Mridha (21 yrs) R/o Jaypur has been arrested.
Yesterday a phone call was received at PS Billiground around 1830 hrs on 27.04.2016 that somebody has attacked an old aged woman and she is injured where blood is coming out of her wounds.
Upon this the police team led by SHO PS Billiground SI Aditya Narayan rushed to the spot and found the 80 years old mother of the owner of the house was bleeding from the neck. She was assisted to the hospital.
Upon verification of the fact about the suspect a search team immediately pursued him and was able to nab him from the forest area of Jaypur.
The victim has been referred to G.B. Pant Hospital for specialized treatment. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
