Port Blair, April 22: As part of reformation and rehabilitation programme for the welfare of inmates, the Prison Department in collaboration with ACANI (Association of Catholic Andaman and Nicobar Islands) organized Moral Class and Educational Drawing Competition recently in the premises of prison. Altogether, 28 inmates participated in the sit and Draw competition. Fr. David Bara, s.j., Parish Priest, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Prothrapur distributed the prize to inmates Biswajit Baroi, Swapan Kumar Mazumdar & Sarup Mondal as 1st, 2nd & 3rd respectively.
Mr O. Mohd. Haneefa, Deputy Jailor presided over the programme and Mr Mohd. Hanif, Jailor appreciated the participants for taking part in the activities under the supervision of Superintendent of Prison and Inspector General (Prisons).
