Port Blair, April 19: The valediction of the Assistant Yog Teacher’s Training Programme was held at Vivekananda Kendra Hall, Lamba Line on Sunday. In his address, the Member of Parliament, Mr Bishnu Pada Ray expressed gratitude to Patanjali Yog Samity and appreciated all trainees for participating in the development process of the country. Swami Suddhananda Saraswati, Resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission blessed the trainees on the occasion. Dr. Santhosh Mane, Ayurvedic Research detailed on the use of the various kinds of medicinal plants to the trainees. Altogether, 55 trainees participated in the training programme.
The trained Yog teachers will take classes independently in the rural and urban areas of these islands to eradicate all kinds of diseases among the poor communities of the society through Yog and Pranayams. The newly trained teachers were administered an oath to further develop and render their full support in the forthcoming programmes of Sangathan. The participants also shared their views and experience on the occasion. Mr Shib Shankar Biswas, Rajya Prabhari, BST A & N Islands, proposed the vote of thanks.
