Port Blair, April 12: The snake squad of Forest Department has released four rescued King Cobra snakes in Madhuvan Jungle this morning.
As per reports, these 4 King Cobra snakes were caught from Junglighat, Japan Nallah and Chouldary areas.
As per reports, the King Cobra snakes caught from Chouldary were in pair.
In last two months the snake squad has caught nearly 20 King Cobra snakes and released them safely to a safe habitat.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, a senior officer of Forest Department said that this is the mating period of King Cobra snakes and that’s why they are coming out.
He requested public to keep watch and maintain distance if they spot any poisonous snake in their area and call the snake squad.
