Diglipur, Apr 10: A student of class V of GSSS Subhashgram drowned in a village pond today at Laxmipur Vilalge. The nine year old child was residing with her grandmother at Laxmipur village of Diglipur.
As per details today early in the morning she along with his 7 years old brother and two other children went to nearby pond but while playing near the pond she slipped into the pond. The matter was immediately informed to others.
Her father Michael, who was at church, was informed and before he could reach the spot the girl was retrieved from the pond and bought to CHC Diglipur, where she was declared bought dead. Police is investigating further in this matter.
