Port Blair, March 30: The President, Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma and other leaders have deeply mourned the sudden demise of Mr K. Thankappan Pillai, aged 73 years, Vice President, Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Party (popularly known as K.T. Pillai), resident of Manarghat. He passed away at his native place at Anchal, Kollam, Kerala State. A condolence meeting was held at Gandhi Bhawan on Tuesday and a two minutes silence was observed in memory of the departed soul. The Congress leaders prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul and for enough strength for the members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
The condolence meeting was attended by senior leaders of Mahila Congress, Seva Dal, Dist. Congress Committee & City Congress Committee. The leaders remembered the long association of Mr K.T. Pillai with Congress Party and devotion for the welfare of the people.
