Port Blair, Mar 29: South Andaman District Police with the assistance of security incharge of Spice Jet Ltd. today apprehended a passenger at VSI Airport, who was trying to travel on some other passenger’s ticket and with fake ID proof.
He was identified as Swapan Biswas, R/o Doctors Colony, Nayagaon, Ward No. 11, Shadipur, South Andaman and disclosed that the owner of CT Travel, Bhatu Basti had given him a group ticket booked in the name of Mr. Probash Mondal vide PNR No. SG-TF5V7R of 28-03-2016 in low fare and a fake ID proof of Aadhar Card to travel, impersonating as Mr. Probash Mondal.
Upon this a case, vide crime No. FIR No. 211/2016 U/S. 419/468/471/34 IPC has been registered at PS Aberdeen and the proprietor CT Travels, Bhatu Basti, Sita Ram Yadav (28) yrs, R/o New Pahargaon was also arrested for making and altering fake Aadhar card.
Both the accused persons were produced in the Hon’ble Court at Port Blair from where they have been sent to JC Remand. Further investigation of the case is continuing.
