Port Blair, Mar 27: A student of Mahatama Gandhi Government College, Mayabunder died in a tragic road accident on Saturday afternoon at Sippighat.
According to reports, Miss. Ritu Kumari aged 19years R/o Hasmatabad village had come to visit her house on leave and was supposed to go back to Mayabunder College on Sunday but on Saturday afternoon she died in the road accident.
Ritu Kumari was with her father on a scooter when the two wheeler was hit by a private bus namely Vishal Transport. While Ritu Kumari died on the spot her father sustained injuries.
This is yet another incident when public on two-wheeler died because of careless driving by Private Bus drivers. It is learnt that the driver and the bus was taken to PS Pahargaon for further action.
