Port Blair, Mar 23: The Andaman and Nicobar Union Territory Veterinary Council organized a ‘One day Training Programme for Para-Veterinary Staff’ at the Veterinary Polyclinic Complex, Dollygunj on the 22nd of March, 2016. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. S. Shivkumar, Registrar, A&NUTVC cum Director, Dept. of AH & VS, who congratulated the organizers for arranging the training programmes which would help the field staff to update their knowledge. He hoped that the staff will benefit from the lectures and will be better prepared to serve the farming community. Dr. Jaisunder, Principal Scientist, CIARI, Port Blair, Dr. A.K. Bardhan, SVO and President, A&NUTVC also spoke on the occasion which was attended by the trainees and officers of the Department. Dr. N.P. Singh, SVO cum Joint Director, DAH&VS, proposed the Vote of thanks. Resource persons from the Department of AH & VS provided training on various topics like Minor Veterinary Practices, Vaccination of Livestock and Poultry, Collection, Preservation and Transportation of clinical Specimen and Record Keeping.
