Port Blair, Mar 22: The chartered flight electronic ticketing through Common Service Centres will be launched tomorrow the 23rd March 2016 by the Secretary, Civil Aviation, Shri N.K. Sharma, IAS at the CSC – eDweep Kendra at Lamba Line, Port Blair at 1000 hrs.
The software for the electronic ticketing through CSC has been developed jointly by the Department of Civil Aviation and Department of Information Technology (DIT), A&N Administration to facilitate issue of chartered flight tickets for the convenience of the Islanders in availing chartered flight services in a hassle free manner.
Further, as per the direction of Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A & N Islands, Lt. Gen. A.K. Singh (Retd), the entire seats in chartered flight operated on Chennai-Port Blair – Chennai and Kolkata – Port Blair – Kolkata sectors shall be offered to the islanders only during the summer vacation period from 1st May 2016 to 29th June, 2016 keeping in view the requirement of islanders and students.
Accordingly, the advance booking of chartered flight tickets for the month of April and May, 2016, initially for two months for sector Chennai-Port Blair-Chennai will commence from tomorrow the 23rd March 2016 at 1000 hrs onwards from any of the following offices as per the convenience of the passengers.
Any of the Common Service Centers (CSC)s – e-Dweep outlets. Counter at Inter-Island Helicopter Terminal, Port Blair; Office of Dy. Commissioner (Nicobar), Car Nicobar; Office of Dy. Commissioner (North & Middle Andaman), Mayabunder; Office of Dy. Resident Commissioner, A & N Bhawan, Kolkata and Office of Asst. Director, Shipping Services, Chennai.
