Port Blair, March 21: A 16-year-old boy died because of drowning in the Jawahar Sarovar Pond, Lambaline this afternoon at around 02:30pm.
As per reports, the boy namely Master Umesh, S/o Maheshwaran a resident of Ranchi Basthi was a student of class 10th of Kamraj Senior Secondary School.
According to sources, nearly 5 friends went for swimming in the Jawahar Sarovar Pond which is connected to the Water Treatment Plant where the incident took place.
