Port Blair, Mar 21: World Oral Health Day was observed on 20th March 2016 by Indian Dental Association with the support of The Directorate of Social Welfare at Seva Niketan, Dairy Farm. On the occasion, the President IDA Dr. Parvez Jamal appraised the gathering of inmates and Officials on the importance of Oral and Dental Health, laying stress on the relationship between Oral Health and General Health.
A demonstration on proper Brushing Technique on typodont and also the importance of brushing twice daily, how to select proper brush and keeping a good oral hygiene was demonstrated by the State Secretary IDA Dr. G. Selvaraj
Total of 72 inmates of Seva Niketan were benefitted by this Oral awareness campaign. The programme was graced by Dr. Parvez (President), Dr. Selvaraj (Hon. State Secretary), Dr. Ravi (Treasurer), Dr. Vinod (Executive Member) and Dr. Rafia (Volunteer). The IDA takes the opportunity to thank the Directorate of Social Welfare for their support for a cause, a release issued by Dr. G Selvaraj, Hon. State Secretary of ANI’s IDA said here today.
