Port Blair, Mar 18: In order to promote Organic Farming in these Islands, efforts have been made to create awareness among the farmers through capacity building. Under the National Horticulture Mission Programme – Human Resource Development, the High Value Agriculture Development Agency has organized an exposure visit/ study tour of 14 farmers and 05 departmental officials to Organic State Sikkim to acquire knowledge about Organic Farming and other related aspects of Agriculture/ Horticulture. The team proceeded to Sikkim via Kolkata on 17/03/2016.
